Using Kollmorgen Visualization Builder
To work with Kollmorgen Visualization Builder:
- Tag the PLC Programmable Logic Controller - A digital computer used for automation of industrial processes, such as control of machinery on factory assembly lines. Used to synchronize the flow of inputs from (physical) sensors and events with the flow of outputs to actuators and events. variables to export and map with the HMI Human-Machine Interfaces - Also known as computer-human interfaces (CHI). Formerly known as man-machine interfaces. HMIs are usually employed to communicate with PLCs and other computers. Example: Entering and monitoring temperatures or pressures for further automated control or emergency response. (see Map Variables to HMI for more information).
- Compile your project to generate the Modbus Modbus® is a serial communications protocol. it is the most commonly available means of connecting industrial electronic devices. Modbus is often used to connect a supervisory computer with a remote terminal unit in supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. Versions of the Modbus protocol exist for serial port and Ethernet. It is widely used with TCP/IP over Ethernet. mapping file.
- Create a KVB Kollmorgen Visual Builder for HMI project 1 in the KAS-IDE Kollmorgen Automation Suite - Integrated Development Environment and open it.
- Design the HMI Panel with KVB .
- Save and close KVB.
Important! Be sure to use Save and not Save As.
The KVB is self-contained within the KAS Kollmorgen Automation Suite archive and the Save As function A function calculates a result according to the current value of its inputs. A function has no internal data and is not linked to declared instances. moves the KVB out of the archive.
- Save your KAS project.

When you create the KVB panel with the KAS-IDE Integrated Development Environment - An type of computer software that assists computer programmers in developing software. IDEs normally consist of a source code editor, a compiler and/or interpreter, build-automation tools, and a debugger., all the creation and mapping procedure is done automatically after compiling your project.
You can directly The orientation components of a vector in space. go to Design the HMI Panel with KVB.

Be aware that as soon as you change the PLC variables exported for the HMI, the mapping file must be re-imported in Kollmorgen Visualization Builder to have an up-to-date version.
